Visit Us
Step into history at the William Morris Society Museum, tucked away in the charming coach house and lower ground rooms of Kelmscott House — the former riverside home of William Morris from 1878 to 1896. While the main house remains a private residence, the museum offers a rare glimpse into the life, work, and ideals of one of Britain’s most influential designers and thinkers.
We’re open Thursday to Sunday, 10am–4pm — and welcome private visits by appointment.
Admission is just £5, and absolutely free for Hammersmith & Fulham residents, WMS members, and children under 12.
Getting Here
We’re a short, scenic walk from:
-
Ravenscourt Park Station (10 mins, District Line)
-
Hammersmith Station (15 mins, District, Circle, Hammersmith & City, and Piccadilly Lines)
Make your visit a journey into the Arts & Crafts movement — where Morris’s ideas still inspire today.
