Step inside the Coach House at Kelmscott House, where William Morris lived for the last 18 years of his life from 1878 to 1896. Now home to the William Morris Society Museum, this historic space offers a unique glimpse into Morris’s creative and political life — from the first carpets he wove to the meetings of the Socialist League.

  • Practically Magic Exhibition – showcasing Morris, his life in Hammersmith, his contemporaries, and modern-day artists inspired by his legacy

  • Original Morris Works – textiles, wallpapers, watercolours, and rare Kelmscott Press books

  • A Historic Printing Press – the 1835 Albion printing press used by Morris himself which was used to print his masterpiece, The Kelmscott Chaucer. Demonstrated at special events.
